Week 2 - Graffiti Technica

Brad Schwede creates digital graffiti. Graffiti Technica, as it's known, is dedicated to 'hardcore' digital art and 3D graffiti. Schwede's art brings graffiti to life in a digital world with some interesting results.

I find it interesting that the 3D graffiti in the images and videos makes the designs seem more impressive and possibly closer to what most regard as art than traditional graffiti would. But, if it's made digitally and not in a physical space in the real world, is it still graffiti? Well it doesn't fall under the traditional or original banner of graffiti but it is certainly in tune with the style and spirit of modern graffiti.

Schwede, an Australian, says his life has been constantly influenced by electronics from an early age which effected his outlook on technology and design very much in a positive way. Of course all his work is created digitally, but some pieces of his reflect technology a lot more then the graffiti style he is emulating.

Below are some selected images of his work as well as somme videos which simulates his 3D graffiti in a real world environment, which are pretty impressive in there own right.
